Feel Good Friday Event with Sheffield Mind and The Hide

Feel Good Friday Event: Join Us for a Morning of Music, Movement and Connection

I’m really excited to finally share something that’s been happening behind the scenes! The Feel Good Friday Event!

I’m collaborating with Sheffield Mind and The Hide to bring you Feel Good Friday, a morning of coffee, music, movement and connection, all while raising money for Sheffield Mind.

I’ll be joined by fellow Sheffield psychotherapist and counsellor Louise Crick, and together we’ll be getting Friday started a little differently, with music, dancing and hopefully plenty of smiling faces.

We’ll be at The Hide from 7am to 8am on Friday 25th September.

And please don’t let the word ‘dancing’ put you off! There are no routines to learn, no dance experience required and absolutely no pressure to perform. Bring your best moves, your questionable ones, or simply come along and enjoy the atmosphere.

Why Feel Good Friday?

So much of what Louise and I do as therapists involves supporting people through the difficult parts of life, but wellbeing isn’t only about what happens inside the therapy room.

Connection matters. Movement matters. Having fun matters too.

Feel Good Friday is an opportunity to bring those things together in a way that feels relaxed, welcoming and a little bit different.

It’s also a chance to support the work of Sheffield Mind, an independent local mental health charity that has been supporting people across Sheffield for many years.

They provide a range of mental health services and support within our city, so I’m delighted that this event will also be helping to raise money for their work.

A little about The Hide

Our home for the morning is The Hide, in Sheffield city centre.

The Hide is a lovely independent space centred around coffee, food and bringing people together. For one Friday morning, we’ll be adding a little more music and movement than you’d usually expect with your morning coffee!

It feels like a perfect setting for what we want Feel Good Friday to be: informal, friendly and open to everyone.

Working with Louise Crick Therapy

I’m really pleased to be organising the morning alongside Louise Crick Therapy.

We share a belief in the importance of connection and creating opportunities for people to support their wellbeing outside of the traditional therapy setting.

This one just happens to involve a disco ball and dancing at 7 o’clock in the morning!

Come and join us

Feel Good Friday takes place on Friday 25th September, from 7am to 8am at The Hide, Sheffield S3 7AA.

Tickets are £8, including coffee and a donation to Sheffield Mind.

Spaces are limited, so if you fancy starting your Friday with something a little different, we’d love you to join us.

Bring yourself, bring a friend if you’d like to, and come and dance your way into the weekend.
